Clothing Factory

This is where it all begins — in our small factory in Woodstock, Cape Town. Every garment we make is cut, sewn, and finished by hand by a team of people who care about what you’ll feel the moment you put it on.

We’ve been doing this since 1979, mixing old-school craftsmanship with modern comfort, using only premium organic cotton and materials that are kind to both skin and planet.

These aren’t just clothes you wear — they’re clothes you hang out with. And like any good friend, they’re made to stick around.

Natural by Choice

It starts with what we choose to work with

We use premium natural fabrics — like soft organic cotton and breathable linen — because they feel good on your skin and wear beautifully over time. These are materials you want to live in, not just sleep in.

Our corozo buttons are made from natural nut shells. They’re smooth, strong, and plastic-free — small details that say a lot about how we make things. And when it comes to our swimwear, we give waste a second life by using fabric made from recycled ocean plastic.

We don’t pick our materials because they sound good in a tagline. We choose them because they’re better to wear — and better to live with.

Where Our Prints Begin

Our prints don’t start on a screen — they start with a conversation.

In this photo, Dylan (our co-founder and CEO) is sharing his vision with Jane, our lead designer, and Fiori, who helps bring it all together. That’s how it usually begins: with an idea, a sketch, a reference from something we love — and a bit of back-and-forth.

We create all our prints in-house, often by hand, so every design feels like something you wouldn’t find anywhere else. And when we want to push things even further, we bring in local artists we admire — giving each piece an extra layer of personality.

It’s not just about making clothes look good. It’s about making them feel like ours. And yours.

From Sketch to Stitch

Good design starts with how it feels — not just how it looks.

Every piece we make begins with an idea: a silhouette, a feeling, a need. From there, it becomes sketches, fabric tests, and patterns shaped with real bodies — not just technical specs.

We try things on. We tweak. We adjust again. Comfort matters, but so does character — the little choices that make a piece feel like you.

Our team of makers cuts each piece by hand, then sews it with care and precision. After that comes fitting, finishing, and quality control — right before it’s pressed and packed, ready for wherever you’re headed next.

Take a closer look inside our Cape Town factory — from the first cut to the final fold. This short film walks you through every step of how we make our loungewear, set to calm music and filled with quiet detail.

No voiceover. No hype. Just people making clothes — the way they should be made.

We believe people come first — always

Everyone in our factory earns a fair wage and works in safe, respectful conditions. Many of our team members have been with us for years, and some have stitched thousands of pieces by hand. That kind of care can’t be rushed — and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Better fabric. Less waste. Smarter choices.

We use natural, sustainable materials like organic cotton, linen, corozo, and recycled ocean plastic — and we build to last, not landfill. Our factory recycles, cuts carefully to minimise waste, and operates with energy-conscious practices.

We still do most things by hand — but the tools we use matter.

Our machines help us cut and sew with precision, but it’s our team who brings the final touch. We mix old-school technique with smart equipment, not to automate craft — but to protect it.

Cuttin the fabric

Cutting by Hand, Since 1979

Every garment starts here — with a steady hand and a sharp blade.

That’s Dylan’s dad in the photo. He and Dylan’s mom started this factory in 1979, and he’s still here — laying out patterns and cutting fabric by hand, just like he always has.

We layer the fabric carefully to cut multiple pieces at once, lining up each pattern with precision to reduce waste and make sure the fit is exactly right. Every piece is marked, sorted, and prepped for sewing — one batch at a time.

It’s slow work. But this is where quality begins.

Stitched to Last — and to Love

This is where everything comes together — stitch by stitch.

Our team sews each piece by hand, using strong, high-quality threads and a sharp eye for detail. Seams are clean. Hems are straight. Pockets are perfectly placed. It's slow work, but it means your garment feels as good as it looks — and keeps doing so, wash after wash.

We finish every piece with corozo buttons — made from natural nut shells — for a subtle, sustainable detail that holds up over time.

The result? Loungewear that’s crafted to last, and made to feel like your favorite thing from the very first wear.

Quality control

Checked by Hand. Every Time.

Before anything leaves our factory, it gets one last careful check.

Each garment is inspected by hand — seams, hems, buttons and fabric, all reviewed one at a time. If something isn’t quite right, we fix it. And if we can’t, it doesn’t get sent.

From the first roll of fabric to the final fold, we follow a simple rule: only send out what we’d be proud to wear ourselves.

It’s not about being perfect — it’s about taking pride in what we make, and making sure you feel it, too.

Pressed with Care

Before we pack anything, we give it a final press.

Each piece is carefully ironed by hand — not just to make it look perfect, but to honour the time and detail that went into making it. It’s a small touch, but one that matters.

The Final Touch

Before anything goes out the door, it gets one last fold and a proper wrap.

Each garment is placed in its own soft fabric bag — not just for protection, but because we think clothes this carefully made deserve something better than plastic.

From there, we pack your order in recyclable boxes or mailers, using sustainable materials that keep your items safe without adding unnecessary waste. It’s a quiet final step, but it says a lot about how we work.
